Another 2024 University Graduate in Kenya

On December 6th, another TIES beneficiary, Maorine S, graduated with her Bachelor of Education (Science) degree!

TIES initiated the Kenya University Scholarships Project in the fall of 2021 and Maorine worked straight through eight semesters in just three years. Her letter of appreciation below captures perfectly the reasons that TIES supports young women such as Maorine!

A LETTER ABOUT MY ENTIRE ACADEMIC PROGRESS, AND APPRECIATION NOTE

Hello, it’s Sanaipei here a graduate from Mount Kenya University, holding a degree in bachelor of education science. I hope you’re doing great well kept by the lord. I want to take this chance to thank God who has enabled us to reach this far.

Secondly, I could to give my sincere gratitude to the entire TIES family for the great support  that has enabled me to run my studies smoothly. Am so grateful, to you Ross, Sarah, John Njiri and the entire TIES organisation. To handle young girls who are struggling with life is not an easy task, your financial support and advices made us reach wherever we are right now. I pray that you receive abundant blessings from God as you have served him wholeheartedly.

My experience with TIES has been so good, I didn’t encounter any great challenge with my education life while in school. My study period has been so smooth, due to your support I was able to do all my exams on time, do my research  well, by the help of laptop you blessed us with when we were joining university . Meals and accommodation were well sorted, didn’t had any problem on the same. I want thank Sarah for your honest and transparency in helping Ross with financial matters.

Life in school is not easy but am grateful to the lord that I completed my studies well. And am happy to let you know that I graduated on 6th December 2024. A lot of students are really struggling to get school fees, some go without food, others are chased because they have not paid rent, untill they end up doing miserable deeds which would later cause harm to their life, but with you TIES organisation, am so thankful that lend your hand to support me in school.

Sincerely, am so grateful and I promise to give back to the society, to help young girls achieve their dreams. I always see the life we are living, especially in the community that’s in the area am coming from, a lot of girls are getting married young because if poor living, barbaric culture, and lack of exposure. I feel like helping them open their eyes to see the goodness of education. I promise  to work hand in hand with TIES, so that one day I could give it back to the society, more so is to help young girls in our community.

Currently, am going through job seeking process, and I hope I will a secure a job in Faith. It’s not easy to seek a job since I don’t have all the documents required like TSC NO., my form four certificate due to fee arrears in my form high school, but I hope it shall be well, I don’t complain.

Lastly I want to wish you a happy, prosperous and fruitful year 2025, a year with a perfect square in mathematics. Receive blessings from God in abundance. i will live to testify your goodness TIES.
